About these terms

These terms apply to work carried out and parts supplied by Curd Brothers, Unit 28, Colebrook Industrial Estate, Longfield Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN2 3DG. By asking us to carry out work you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Quotes and estimates

We will give you a price or an estimate before starting work. If we find that more work is needed, or the cost will be higher than agreed, we will contact you and will not carry out the extra work without your permission.

Diagnosis

Some faults, especially intermittent electrical faults, take time to find. We will agree with you before spending further time on diagnosis, and we will explain what we find.

Parts

• We fit new or reconditioned parts of suitable quality, and we will tell you which you are getting.
• Parts we replace are available for you to see or take away when you collect the vehicle, unless they are returned to a supplier under an exchange or warranty scheme.
• If you supply your own parts, we cannot guarantee those parts, and any labour to remove or refit them if they fail may be charged.

Batteries

Batteries bought from Curd Brothers are fitted free of charge. Battery health checks are free. Battery guarantees are as set by the manufacturer and depend on the battery being used and charged correctly.

Payment

Payment is due when you collect your vehicle, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We may keep the vehicle until the bill is paid.

Guarantees

We carry out work with reasonable care and skill. If something we have done is not right, please contact us as soon as possible and give us the chance to put it right. Parts are covered by their manufacturer's guarantee.

Collecting your vehicle

We will let you know when your vehicle is ready. Please collect it promptly during our opening hours. Vehicles are left with us at the owner's risk for loss or damage not caused by our negligence.

Complaints

If you are not happy, please speak to us first on 01892 542680 or traceycurdbrothers.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it. As a member of Trust My Garage, we follow its code of practice.
