What we do
The cam belt keeps your engine's valves and pistons in time. If it snaps, many engines suffer serious and expensive damage, so it has to be replaced at the interval your manufacturer sets, in years or miles.
We fit complete kits with new tensioners and idlers, and replace the water pump at the same time where it is driven by the belt.

How often should a cam belt be changed?
It varies by engine, typically every 4 to 10 years or 40,000 to 100,000 miles. Call us with your registration and we will check your car's interval.
What happens if my cam belt snaps?
On many engines the valves hit the pistons, causing major damage. Replacing the belt on time is far cheaper than repairing the engine.
Should the water pump be changed too?
If it is driven by the cam belt, yes. It saves paying for the same labour twice later.
Does my car have a cam belt or a timing chain?
Some engines use a chain instead. Give us your registration and we will tell you.
