Air con re gas and service
Air conditioning re gas and service to keep your car cool in summer and clear in winter.
- Re gas
- System check
- Odour treatment
What we do
Car air conditioning slowly loses refrigerant over time, so even a healthy system cools less well each year. A service every two years tops it up, lubricates the compressor and seals, and keeps the system working for longer.
Your air con is not only for hot days. It dries the air in the cabin, which clears a misted windscreen in seconds in winter and stops mould from growing in the vents. If it smells or is not as cold as it used to be, a service is the place to start.

Re gas
Old refrigerant recovered, the system vacuum tested and refilled to the correct amount for your car.
System check
Pressures, controls and fans checked as part of every service.
Odour treatment
Antibacterial treatment and pollen filter replacement for a fresh, clean cabin.
Performance check
Vent temperatures measured before and after so you can see the difference.

Questions we get asked
How often should my air con be serviced?
Every two years is a good rule. Systems lose a little refrigerant every year, and a service keeps the compressor lubricated and working efficiently.
Why does my air con smell?
Bacteria and mould can build up in the system, especially if it is rarely used. An antibacterial treatment and a new pollen filter usually cure it.
My air con is not as cold as it was. Does it need a re gas?
Very often, yes. Every system loses a little refrigerant each year, and a re gas and service brings it back up to the correct amount.
Should I use my air con in winter?
Yes. Running it regularly keeps the seals lubricated and it clears a misted windscreen far faster than heat alone.
How long does an air con service take?
A standard re gas and service usually takes around an hour.
