Clutch replacement
Slipping, juddering or heavy clutches repaired with complete clutch kits.
- Clutch kits
- Flywheels
- Hydraulics
What we do
A clutch wears gradually, so it is easy to get used to a slipping or juddering pedal until it fails. We replace clutches with complete kits and check the flywheel and hydraulics at the same time.
We will tell you honestly whether your clutch needs replacing now or has life left.

Clutch kits
Cover, friction plate and release bearing replaced together.
Flywheels
Dual mass flywheels checked and replaced when worn.
Hydraulics
Master and slave cylinders and clutch fluid.
Cables and adjustment
Cable operated clutches adjusted or replaced.
Signs to look out for

Questions we get asked
How do I know my clutch is slipping?
If the revs rise when you accelerate but the car does not speed up to match, especially in higher gears, the clutch is likely slipping.
Does the flywheel need replacing with the clutch?
Not always. Many cars have a dual mass flywheel that wears too, and we check it while the gearbox is out.
How long does a clutch replacement take?
Usually a day, depending on the vehicle. We will confirm when we quote.
Can a clutch problem be hydraulic?
Yes. A soft or sinking pedal is often a master or slave cylinder fault, which costs far less than a clutch.
